Top Brands on Twitch May Spotlight: Sony Pictures
This month, we’re going to dive into Sony Pictures, which holds the 10th spot on the list – but moved up 16 places to get there.
With a solidly positive 71/100 sentiment score across all Twitch mentions, the brand rejoins the Top 20 list after a month of absence (though still claiming an admirable position of #26 in April).
Much of the conversation for Sony Pictures centered around Spider-Man, for various reasons. High engagement conversations included the decision to not remove the statue of liberty from Spider-Man: No Way Home at China’s request, as well as requests for a “Raimi-cut” release of Tobey Macquire’s Spider-Man 3 and The Amazing Spider-Man 3 with Andrew Garfield.
Other May Highlights
Of the three brands we focused on last month, Asus and Nvidia not only remain on the top 20 list for May, but continue to climb it – all due to overwhelming positive gamer conversation around the GeForce RTX™ 30 Series graphic card price reduction.
Finally, another interesting movement this month includes Spotify. Since the Joe Rogan controversy and the #DeleteSpotify social media boycott campaign in February 2022, Spotify has experienced four consecutive months of decreasing discussion on the platform, as well as sentiment that is consistently in the low 50s. It will be interesting to see if this trend continues in the coming months, or if Spotify’s affinity within Twitch viewers will make a comeback.
