New Unified Custom Reporting Portal

Published On: January 6, 2022By Categories: Feature Updates

Being able to quickly and easily find the information you need – and, even better, to have that information curated into one intuitive report – is essential to making swift, informed, and strategic decisions.

Spiketrap’s SaaS platform allows users to do exactly that, empowering information discovery through our intuitive custom reporting tools.

In our latest platform update, we are streamlining user workflow and enhancing the reporting experience by consolidating multiple custom reporting tools for monitors and streams within one convenient location. With this update, users can now create new custom queries as well as view all previously completed reports from one dashboard within our platform.

Spiketrap’s Custom Reporting Options

Reporting options currently available through the Custom Reporting tab include:

  • Single Monitor: Create a report on one specific entity within the Spiketrap knowledge graph
  • Single Stream: Create a report on one specific stream
  • Stream Cohort: Create a report on a selection of streams

Single Monitor Reporting

This report enables robust analytics for custom queries on any individual Monitor within the Spiketrap knowledge graph. [What is a Monitor? Read our blog post to learn more.] This provides cohesive insight across all public asynchronous sources (ie: non-exclusive and non-streaming channels like Twitter, forums, news, reviews,  & more).

For example, the custom reporting tool could be used to seek out all instances of “skins” found within conversations connected to Minecraft. Users would simply select Minecraft as their monitor, then build a query containing all possible variations or related keywords to that subject.

Single Stream & Stream Cohort Reporting

The Single Stream and Stream Cohort reporting allows users to run queries and find specific terms within the conversations surrounding a particular stream or influencer.

A single stream report will analyze all chat messages from a specific stream segment, whereas the stream cohort allows users to pull together a combined view and compare stream segments. Users are able to select both a preferred channel and a specific stream(s) to run the report on. Influencers can be searched for by username or channel, and results can be targeted by date.

Results You Can See: Visual Reporting

Once you’ve run the custom report of your choice, results will be displayed via an intuitive visual analytics format (clipped example below), and a source feed. The report will detail trending data for mentions of the targeted query, sentiment, safety ratings, and more.

Also Released: New Shortcuts Tool!

In conjunction with the consolidated reporting view, we’ve also improved user experience and navigation with a new Shortcuts tool. Found within Monitor pages as well as the Detail page of any given single stream, this drop-down menu allows users to easily begin creating a custom report based on the Monitor or Stream they are currently viewing.
